I love the 14" Loose Curly!
The bottom left picture is the hairline right after I cut the lace. Rex is producing more natural hairlines. I just followed the line. I do think the wig is bigger than my usual 22.5". I didn't use a self adhesive wrap this time; just a very sheer brown colored stocking that I cut to fit my head. I love the length. We're doing a video and I hope this app lasts long enough to make its appearance in the video. I think I'm going to order another just to have on backup... lol. Let me leave well enough alone. I'm still using Vapon No Tape and Hair Direct White Adhesive on top of Walker No Shine Tape in front and over the ears, and Supertape along the nape.
New Wig Day - 14" Rex Virgin Malaysian Loose Curly
She finally came at 15 minutes before I left for work (Rex requires signatures on his shipments now). I slipped her over the one I'm wearing now (the Indian Remy Body Wave hybrid) for these pictures. She's shorter than I imagined, but I warmed to the length. I'm tired of always wearing the hair either pulled up or in a bun. I've found that regardless of what kind of hair it is, it always tends to tangle or get caught on something if it's 16-18 inches. I will put this wig on Thursday (that's my wig change day - I remove on Wednesday, let my head "breathe" for a night, and reapply on Thursday). I can't wait to put her on. I want to lift up the top of the hair and maybe lighten it up under.... maybe not... maybe just the front, with just Sun-In, nothing more harsh than that. I may even forego the self adhesive bandage. The "scalp" has been too light and obvious lately, and you all KNOW I'm never bleaching knots again. I haven't even painted the insides with makeup lately. Too lazy, but I'm so free about it at my job. Not very many people all up in my head.
The hair looks bushy because I combed and brushed it. It will be interesting to see how it looks tamed with water. I was thinking about getting a 10" or 12" body wave (virgin malaysian, of course - tangles less than indian remy), but it would be way too short. The older I get, the less I'm liking extremely long hair.
Settling in on the new haircut.
I'm getting used to having my hair cut. It curls up so beautifully (washed with Organix Tea Tree & Mint; combed Organix Grapefruit & Mango Butter through it - no rinse). This is me completely natural. I'm going to forego any chemicals... for now. The most I may do is color the ends... eventually, once my hair has really grown out from my scalp... maybe in October or Nov... I'm not going to even put myself on a time schedule. I may do a hair growth update, every 3 or 4 months. Nothing obsessive like last year. Just remove hair, wash/condition natural hair, then reapply wig, every week.
I just bought my 14" Virgin Malaysian Loose Curly, and I'm predicting it will be here next Wednesday... I hope so, because that's my wig day (I remove on Wednesdays and reapply on Thursdays). I'm so not tripping off of the people at work. I'm on a new mission, and if lace wigs will get me there, so be it. I've never had a 14" wig before, so this should be interesting. It seems when I'm rocking my 18" I usually wear buns so I'm trying something new. I will update with pictures as soon as the wig is delivered.
