New Wig Day - 14" Rex Virgin Malaysian Loose Curly

She finally came at 15 minutes before I left for work (Rex requires signatures on his shipments now). I slipped her over the one I'm wearing now (the Indian Remy Body Wave hybrid) for these pictures. She's shorter than I imagined, but I warmed to the length. I'm tired of always wearing the hair either pulled up or in a bun. I've found that regardless of what kind of hair it is, it always tends to tangle or get caught on something if it's 16-18 inches. I will put this wig on Thursday (that's my wig change day - I remove on Wednesday, let my head "breathe" for a night, and reapply on Thursday). I can't wait to put her on. I want to lift up the top of the hair and maybe lighten it up under.... maybe not... maybe just the front, with just Sun-In, nothing more harsh than that. I may even forego the self adhesive bandage. The "scalp" has been too light and obvious lately, and you all KNOW I'm never bleaching knots again. I haven't even painted the insides with makeup lately. Too lazy, but I'm so free about it at my job. Not very many people all up in my head.
The hair looks bushy because I combed and brushed it. It will be interesting to see how it looks tamed with water. I was thinking about getting a 10" or 12" body wave (virgin malaysian, of course - tangles less than indian remy), but it would be way too short. The older I get, the less I'm liking extremely long hair.

Off the wig wagon!

Okay, after staring at the pitiful pictures below, and to also stop wetting my hair for the winter season, I put on the only viable wig I have left... which I hate... my fault because I cut these ridiculous bangs into it. It's all I have for right now, so I slapped it on my head. I put it on Thanksgiving Eve night, and I've been wrapping it every night. My own hair is so thick underneath, and I have this ridiculous braid bump in the front, which brings me to this blog. For the next time (next week), to keep it flat, I'm going to wrap my own hair flat before I put the ace bandage on. I forgot that I have to buy a new hair dryer because my old one broke... damn. Which brings me to my new point: finally, I'm buying a new wig on Friday. I know I talked about getting a 12" virgin malaysian for awhile, but I'm going to check out the 18" virgin brazillian (2 Ls or 1?) I want it fairly straight, and 18" is a good length for a pigtail option. I'm still on the fence with believing the origins of the hair. I'm craving the least amount of fuss at this point in my life. I'll keep you posted.... I may even take pictures of this app before it starts to clown and get ugly.

Still...

Still knitting Colbi's domino-diamond scarf. I don't know when to stop, and I don't know how long it should be.

Still reeling from the L.A. trip. The snow in the Mojave Desert was mind tripping. I loved Disneyland, I loved The Haunted Mansion, I thought I died on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, I fell in love (all over again) with Tinkerbell, and the fireworks were the best I'd ever seen. The castle wasn't the one I thought it would be (I thought it was the Cinderella castle, but it was the Sleeping Beauty castle). I finally got to ride Space Mountain and the Monorail. I felt like I was 10 years old. Disneyland was wonderful, and I loved being there with Andrew. He makes everything fun.

He was such a trouper when we went in search for Rush's (non-existant) star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We walked the whole 3.5 miles looking for the star. Eventhough they've been nominated, the star hasn't been inlaid yet. They have up to 5 years from the date of induction. I got to see all my favorite movie stars foot and handprints (Lucille Ball didn't participate). I saw Myrna Loy, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Eddie Murphy, Gary Cooper, Gregory Peck, etc. I am such an old movie fan, so I was in my element. When we went to Warner Brothers Studio, I was in heaven. We got to see actual movie studios, props, costumes, and actual Oscars. Unfortunately, we didn't get to take the camera inside the museum. I saw the stage that "Dark Victory" (1939 - Bette Davis) was shot on. Another treat was that we got to go onto the sets of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Julia Luis-Dreyfuss' show (don't watch that one). We saw Jim Parsons (Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory) driving around the lot. Of course, we did all of this in the rain! We also saw Warner Brother Records, Atlantic Records, the round Capitol Records building, and the NBC studios. I saw everything I wanted to see. The Hollywood sign was BREATHTAKING (see pic above). Adding pics to a photo album is on my ever growing list. The L.A. Trip ranks #3 on our trips (#1 Grand Canyon, #2 Mexico).

What wasn't such a good time was how my curly malaysian CLIZZOWNED!!! It rained the first 3 days we were there, and that didn't stop us from our agenda. My hair turned into... you guessed it... a TRIBBLE!!! I should have known better when the left ponytail completely locked in the car, before we even got there. I guess from the humidity. I was able to comb it out in the car. That second night, I spent 3 hours in the bathroom trying to untangle. We had to go to the grocery store to get some slippery conditioner (Tressemme Flawless Curls). I know I used half of that big bottle. I finally got it untangled. I can't believe that I didn't take pictures of the Tribble. For the rest of the trip, I had to contain it in a bun:

Now, we're all excited about starting the P90X Home Fitness System. I got the hookup from the BHM Exercise section. I have all the materials, we even bought weights and resistance bands. I want to thoroughly read all the material before we start. I know it's going to kick my azz, but I have to do something about this gut.

I've got 3 music videos on my YT channel. We recorded Alice In Chain's "No Excuses", but the video was jank because I was also burning discs for Meechie, so I had to remove it. We may redo it tonight, but definitely Friday. Next up for me is Rush's "Resist". I'm still trying to get the vocal just right. It's pretty fun reading all the positive feedback.

Now, all I have to do find a job.

All the videos are finished!

All the videos are finished. I don't know what else to video on lace wigs for now. That's all that I do. Cut the lace, apply the fake scalp, apply the wig, remove the wig, and wash the wig. I won't be doing any real knot bleaching. I'm done with the real bleach. I'm not burning any more hair off any more wigs. Not worth it. I do need to get more Deep Glow spray. Other than that, I videoed me cutting the lace on the unit that Princess gifted me. It's a lovely 18" Virgin Malaysian straight. I can't believe how bleached the knots are. Rex did a great job. The knots in the back aren't bleached, but that's okay. I can spray them. I won't put this one on until the first week of September, when my sister comes to visit me.

Great positive feedback for the videos. It's a very rewarding feeling. A little hateration about me "finally letting my hair grow" or something of that nature. I'm not going to even entertain that. My hair has never not grown. It grows, and I used to always rock a short cut. The older I get, the less I want to be fooling with my hair. Lace wigs aren't much maintenance to me. Once I get it on, it's mainly in a ponytail unless we go out, but I did bowl in a ponytail yesterday. It's just hair. Anyway, thanks for the support of the YouTube channel. Once I reach my natural hair goal, I will do natural hair videos too. I'm responding to the fact that a lot of people are visual.
